The Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital

as the 2020 BALTO Recipient!

The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital offers a wide range of medical services, rehabilitative care, social services and education to children and teenagers with complex medical needs. Patients with complex medical needs as a result of birth defects or complications, traumatic accidents or illnesses have an average stay of 24 months. Rehabilitation services needed due to a traumatic or congenital injury, sudden illness, or post-surgery treatment have an average stay of 25 days. The hospital, with 160 inpatient beds, is one of the largest free-standing inpatient pediatric rehabilitation hospitals in the country. This is the only hospital of its kind in Oklahoma and the surrounding states. Children come from all 77 counties and the surrounding states to receive care at the Children’s Center. The more than 725 employees are dedicated to maximizing the potential of all children who come

through its doors.

This year, BALTO 2020 will be raising money to build a Field of Dreams for the Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital. This field will be accessible for their patients, their families, and the community. This field allows the patients to escape the walls of the hospital and enjoy outdoor games and activities. By having this field in their program, they will be able to enhance their physical therapy program and the overall experience for their patients.
