This year BALTO is benefitting Make-A-Wish Oklahoma. Make-A-Wish Oklahoma is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 1982. Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children who medically qualify regardless of race, gender, creed, socioeconomic or cultural background. Their mission is to grant life-changing wishes for children between the ages of 2 1/2-18 years old living with critical illnesses in Oklahoma. Make-A-Wish Oklahoma is NOT nationally funded, and the organization is using all funds raised from BALTO Week to go directly towards a fund that is 100% used for granting children's wishes in Oklahoma. Many children are waiting for their wishes due to safety concerns and other circumstances caused by the global pandemic. The goal is to grant as many children's wishes as possible with the funds raised from BALTO Week!
