2008 Recipient

The BALTO 2008 recipient is the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since being founded our chapter has granted more than 1,400 wishes to eligible Oklahoma children.

Check out the Make-A-Wish Oklahoma Chapter or National website for more information about this great cause.

Make-A-Wish Foundation finances its endeavors through corporate sponsors, foundations, service clubs, fundraisers and individual contributions. Make-A-Wish is not funded by United Way, nor does it receive any government funding. We continue to make the magic of wishes happen thanks to community-minded corporations, groups and individuals.

The Oklahoma chapter is part of the largest wish-granting organization in the world, with 69 chapters in the United States and its territories, along with 27 international affiliates on five continents. Make-A-Wish estimates a positive impact on more than 300,000 individuals each year.

The money donated by BALTO 2008 will directly benefit Edmond's Wish Kids, and the remaining funds will cover the Wish Kids of Oklahoma County. We have the potential with BALTO 2008 to fulfill the wishes of every Make-A-Wish child in Oklahoma County, and we look forward to achieving that goal!
